Nanning Wuxu Airport Operations Command Center

Project Overview

Nanning Wuxu International Airport is located in Wuxu Town, Jiangnan District, Nanning City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. It lies 27.8 kilometers in a straight line from the city center and serves as a 4E-class joint military-civilian international airport. As Guangxi's largest aviation hub and one of China's major airports handling over 10 million passengers annually, it also functions as an international gateway hub oriented toward ASEAN, a Class-1 air port open to foreign trade, and a backup landing airport for international flights. Nanning Wuxu International Airport officially opened to traffic in November 1962 after relocating from the original Nanning Airport in 1958. The first phase of its expansion project was completed in 1990, followed by the second phase on September 25, 2014. In 2019, the airport initiated renovations and expansions of Terminal T1, along with runway extensions at Terminal T2. On March 19, 2020, the airport received approval to construct a second runway and a new Terminal T3.
