The application of license plate recognition technology at parking lots and residential community entrances primarily serves to record the license plate number, plate color, and entry/exit times, enabling automated vehicle management that saves manpower and boosts efficiency. For instance, in smart residential communities, this technology can automatically determine whether an incoming vehicle belongs to the neighborhood, while seamlessly implementing automatic timed billing for non-resident vehicles. In some organizations, this solution can even integrate with vehicle dispatch systems, allowing for the automatic and objective tracking of company vehicles' movements. A small license plate recognition device installed at parking lot entrances and exits can effectively "solve multiple problems once and for all."
